We just got to see the new trailer for Captain America: Brave New World. In the trailer, we see that Ross, now played by Harrison Ford, is running for President of the United States.
At the beginning of the trailer, Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross asks Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, to join the U.S. military with a special position.
For Sam, we know he has officially become Captain America after the events of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series.
It seems like Ross is trying to gain votes by using the new Captain America.
However, it looks like Sam doesn’t agree with Ross’s plan. But since this is just the teaser trailer, we don’t know all the details yet.
What’s really exciting fans about the teaser is the introduction of a new character from the comics into the MCU: Red Hulk.
The teaser also shows a scene where Ross is shot multiple times by Isaiah Bradley.
We’re not sure why Isaiah attacks Ross, but it might be related to Ross’s past actions. We’ll have to wait for the movie’s release on February 14, 2025, to find out.
With multiple injuries and possibly on the brink of death, the only way to save Ross might be to use Hulk gamma radiation, similar to how She-Hulk was created.
This might be how Red Hulk is introduced into the MCU.
For a first look at Red Hulk, check out the trailer below. Enjoy!
Red Hulk is the new face in the MCU, but throughout the trailer, we also see Giancarlo Esposito in action.
His role remains a secret, but recent rumors suggest he’ll be playing George Washington “G.W.” Bridge.
Bridge, a character from Marvel Comics, is known for his morally ambiguous nature. He started as a mercenary and later became a high-ranking SHIELD officer.
If the rumors are true, this would mark Bridge’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, potentially adding a complex narrative arc that balances his anti-hero traits.
